Michael Joseph “Mike” Schieble, 86, born June 14, 1929 in Chicago, passed away Wednesday, July 15 at Church Creek Assisted Living Center. He lived in Mt. Prospect and was an usher and member of St. Raymond de Penafort Church. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Elizabeth nee Tomaselli Schieble, son David Schieble, daughter Linda Schieble McDaniel, son in law Randy McDaniel, grandchildren Elizabeth (Will) Molidor, Lauren McDaniel and Adam McDaniel, surviving son in law Bruce Katz, sister Catherine Schieble Fargo and many friends. Preceding him in death was his oldest daughter Carolyn.
Mike’s spirited fun, love of cards, games and zest of life will be missed by all. He enjoyed cooking once he retired and the joy it brought family and friends as it was a big part of his love language.
A celebration of his life will begin on Monday with visitation from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd., at Northwest Hwy., Mt. Prospect. He will be lying in state Tuesday 9:00 AM until Mass 10:00 AM at St. Raymond de Penafort Church, Elmhurst Rd. (Rt83) at Lincoln St., Mt. Prospect.
