Alice Kilian (nee Orlowski). age 93, of Mt. Prospect passed away at Church Creek Retirement Community on Thursday, August 9th. Born Nov 24th, 1924, Alice graduated from St. Hyacinth School and Carl Schurz High School in Chicago. A legal secretary for many years in downtown Chicago and a long-time parishioner of St. Hyacinth, then Our Lady of the Wayside (Arlington Heights) and finally St. Cecilia Church (Mount Prospect).
Alice’s prayerful disposition, compassion and kindness toward others will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Alice was the beloved wife of the late Chester Kilian; loving sister of the late Helen Suwinski, the late Florence Sokalski and the late Richard Orlowski (who preceded her in death just over two weeks ago); dear aunt of Chris (Tom) Barr, the late Donald (Linda) Suwinski, Joseph (Lynn) Kilian, Michael (Shelly) Arendt, James Arendt, Robert (Annie) Kilian, Linda Kilian, Tina Kilian; and godmother, great- aunt, and cherished friend of many.
Visitation (wake) will be held on Wednesday, August 15th from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 P.M. at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Road, (at Northwest Highway) in Mt. Prospect, IL 60056.
Visitation on Thursday, August 16th from 9:00 A.M. until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia Church, Golf Rd. (Rt. 58) at Meier Rd., Mt. Prospect, IL 60056.
Interment at St. Adalbert Cemetery.
